I cast on for these little short socks Friday night, right after I washed and blocked the silk stockings. They were a great little knit and the perfect project to finish out the weekend. 1 ball of the sockata managed 2 pair of the short socks, with just a bit to spare.
Perfect!
Besides, it was the only yarn and needles that I could get to, everything else is packed.....

By the way, I finally have the furnature portion of the tent repayment. I'll hold it until you are in the house so you don't need to move it!
