I reached a small snag on my volunteer knitting for Plimoth.
Um, yeah. I'm out of yarn and I don't think these are supposed to be scoggers that I am knitting.
My gauge is correct. I'm following the pattern that was provided to me (even though I think the stockings look way wierd) and yup, out of yarn. Guess I get to ask for more.

Oh No!
I hope it all works out for you.
Must go search Plimoth Stockings.
The yarn was provided to me so obviously someone miscalculated how much I would need for the pattern. They just need to send more, no big deal.
Maybe they can just be legwarmers for 80's recreations, or, the tube things from the Mary Rose find that my Mom feels are socks with the feet worn out (and cut off) and were the first legwarmers.
Scoggers is the word you are looking for. I think those were worn on the forearms, but they might have been worn on the legs too. The pattern wants me to knit a foot so I'm going to say that they are supposed to be stockings.
In their current state they would be too long for Morcar's forearms.
I'm glad you posted this. I just got my kit yesterday and I'll be aware that this might happen!
